AS2 - Task Two - Analysing the Artist

The artist who's song we are using for the music video is Called Halsey. Her real name is Ashley Nicolette Frangipane. She is twenty one years old and was born in Washington, New Jersey U.S. Her birth date is September 29th 1994. What makes Halsey different from others is how she changes her hair colour and what makes her music different from other artists is how she sings about things that have happened to her in the past and she has wrote about past relationships that she has been in but in stead of singing the bad times they had been through, she sings about the good things that they have been through and how she misses them.

Before she became famous, in the year 2012 she released her parody of a Taylor Swift song 'I Knew You Was Trouble' which helped people recognize her voice. She is signed by two record labels. They are 'Astralwerks' and 'Capital Records'. She has also released two albums called 'Room 93' (October 27th 2014) and 'Badlands' (August 28th 2015).

Halsey's Genre is known to be electropop and her subgenre is indie pop. When Halsey is on stage, she never puts on a bad show. She puts every bit of energy into every song she sings. When she is in concert she always interacts with her fans by singing to them or by letting them hold her hand while she sings. The image that she gives off when she is on stage is very much independent and very lively. She is Very energetic when she is in concert because she wants her fans to have a good at every show she does.
